Have Questions about Greg Bennett Sales?
Here are Bennett’s facts and philosophies…
Why would our company hire a sales coach? Isn’t it the sales manager’s job to coach our sales team?
You’d think so, but even the best sales managers will hit a wall where their people stop listening. It just happens. People get into their comfort zones and stop pushing themselves. The best managers know that a great coach from the “outside” isn’t a threat – but an ally who can rekindle the passion and get their people re-engaged (even if the trainer says the same thing the manager has been saying over and over again). Plus, who’s coaching the sales managers? They may be good at what they do, but there’s a reason even Tiger Woods needs a coach!
There are zillions of sales training programs out there. What makes yours different?
The psychology involved. My concepts and strategies come from modeling how psychiatrists think, act, and get results from a wide variety of patients. My method isn’t based on “go-get-’em” motivational talks, which don’t create long-lasting change. Instead, my method teaches sales teams how to control your thinking and how to control any sales situation. My stuff is easy to understand and fun to use – that’s why people get huge results very quickly.
Do you work with people who need to sell but aren’t traditional salespeople?
Yes! In fact, this is probably my most common client situation. Nontraditional salespeople – professionals, business owners, consultants, etc. – are usually turned off by traditional sales techniques. These folks gravitate to my psychological approach to influence clients. Plus, with my model, you don’t have to change your personality to be effective at selling, you just have to learn some new questions and gain an understanding about what’s really going on beneath the surface of a sales call. My model is fascinating, fun, easy to understand, and it works. Nontraditional salespeople love that.
Do you personally coach smaller sales staffs?
Sometimes. It depends on what they want to accomplish and how much they’re willing to invest in their excellence. To work with me personally as a coach is pretty expensive. I would point these folks to our Level 2 option, which combines self-guided materials with online coaching. That being said, if a small company is planning a major expansion or an individual is ready to make a major commitment – and success is the only option – I’m willing to consider it.
Also, you need to know that I don’t work with just any organization. When I coach a company’s sales folks and they employ my unique selling approach, explosive growth happens. That’s why I’ll only help grow companies that I believe in. So let’s talk and see if we’re a fit.
What do you mean you don’t work with “just any” organization? This seems cocky. Who do you work with?
I can see why it may seem that way, but I don’t see it as being cocky at all. Mainly because it’s not about me, it’s about clients. Not every client wants to be an Olympic champion, the very best in their field. I train and coach at the very top levels. If a client has a need but isn’t willing to make the changes required to reach higher levels of performance, I’m not mad at them and I don’t take it personally. We’re just not a fit. My goal is not to sell training to as many companies as I can. My goal is to help some select organizations achieve at highest levels – Olympic levels of success.
Do you offer one-day workshops or speeches?
Here’s the deal: I believe that one-time-only workshops and keynotes are good for entertainment only. It’s like taking a sugar pill: tastes good, nice sugar buzz, but the come-down is a bear! If you’re looking to improve your sales skills, you have to commit to long-term coaching and training. But if you want me to get your people laughing hysterically about their life in sales – and MAYBE sneak in a sales technique or two – I’m happy to consider that.
Do you have any programs for sales managers?
I have a great deal of sales management training I’ve developed over the years as part of my personal coaching, but at the moment it’s stuck in PowerPoint Land. If we’re involved in a coaching partnership, I’ll give you all of it. But I haven’t developed this information into a stand-alone program yet. The good news: I’m putting together a Bennett on Sales Management course. Sign up for my ezine (“Notes from the Ugly Pond”), and you’ll hear about this program as soon as I roll it out!
Ready to commit to Olympic levels of success?
If so, we need to meet – but we may not be a fit.
